Make Federal Agencies Accountable to the Public
Federal agencies exist only to serve the American people. But in many agencies, service to the public is an afterthought. Whether the agency delivers real service to the people is never measured and does not seem to matter.
This must change. Every agency must be judged by a single standard: how well it provides service to the people. If an agency cannot do what it was created to do, and do it with speed, accuracy, and real results, it must be rebuilt or abolished.
Real reform means ending the culture of self-protection that now shields agency leadership. No manager should be rewarded for ignoring their obligation to the public. No manager should be allowed to punish frontline workers who fight to deliver real service. Dedicated civil servants must be empowered to do the jobs they came to government to do: serve the American people.
Federal agencies must be forced to serve the citizens who pay for them. If they do not deliver real public service, they must be rebuilt or shut down entirely. Until that happens, failure will remain embedded in the system, and these agencies will continue to betray the American people. The American people must no longer accept a bureaucracy that consumes their tax dollars but refuses to serve them. It is time for the People to fight back.
